Credit: Friend or Foe?

You can request your credit report and credit score by mail, phone or email. If you have been denied credit you can get your report free. If you have not been denied credit, there will be a small charge.
This is step one. Know where you stand. At least at this point you have some idea of where you need to get to. Save up some money for a decent down payment, get a loan and MAKE THE PAYMENTS ON TIME. You are now on your road to a better credit score, lower interest rates, and better terms.
