5 Steps to Better Credit
Look, I know these steps may not be easy for you, but if you want to have lower interest rates, be treated with more respect, get credit when you need it, then there are not any short cuts. Following these 5 steps can save you thousands of dollars over the years.
Make a decision and just do it!
1. Pay ALL your bills on time. If you can’t do it now, set a goal to get to a time when you can. Don’t buy any more STUFF until you can afford it.
2. If you owe a lot on credit cards, stop using them! Get them paid off. Do you realize how much money is going out in interest??
3. If you don’t have any credit at this point you need to get a loan and make regular payments. I’m familiar with a number of car companies in Topeka, KS that do special lows for people with low credit scores.
4. Don’t get more credit than you need. You don’t want a bunch of applications out there. This is a red flag to credit reporting agencies.
5. If you know are going to miss a payment don’t just let it go. Contact the creditor immediately and see if you can’t work something out that won’t hurt your credit.
Again, I know if you have financial problems the above 5 Steps are not easy, but I know a lot of people in Topeka that have done them and have better credit today because of it.
