As an established designer living and working in Paris, Grant is less swayed by cost factors when considering how to show his clothes than other Australians juggling the expense and logistics of making a pilgrimage to the City of Light.
For Grant, the decision to go salon-style instead of revved-up runway was simply about a change of pace during one of the most hectic fashion events in the world. ”People can actually take the time with the clothes,” he says.
Lutz’s presence at this year’s iD Fashion Shows continues the high standards set by previous iD international guest designers, Zandra Rhodes and Akira Isogawa. He will also join the prestigious iD Emerging Designer judging panel – which this year includes British style icon Hilary Alexander and Nicholas Huxley, one of Australia’s leading fashion authorities, alongside Dunedin’s own Tanya Carlson and Margi Robertson (Nom*D).
