Fishing Clubs Opt For Embroidered Clothing

Embroidered designs on clothing have a long history, perhaps as long as clothing has been covering the human body. With the possible exception of Adam’s famous fig leaf, it’s easy to picture our most ancient ancestors wearing animal furs and hides adorned with ornate stitching and shiny bobbles attached to the garment for any number of reasons and purposes. From mere decoration to a sign of a particular clan or group, stitched designs have been an integral part of clothing for as long as people have been covering up.
There is no doubt that embroidery is an art form that can turn an ordinary garment into amazing piece of apparel. In ancient times, embroidered clothing was often seen as a sign of wealth, whereas these days it is very commonplace. And while embroidery on any given piece of clothing will probably add to the cost of the garment, many people don’t mind paying a little bit more for it, especially considering the other important aspect of embroidery besides its visual appeal; the durability of the design.
One such group of people that seem to opt for embroidered clothing more than most are those associated with recreational groups such as hunters, skiers, and especially fishermen. It’s not that their particular hobbies require ornately decorated clothing by any means. But when these groups are looking to add their club logo or business design to hats, shirts, or accessories, an embroidered version of their design is usually the choice that they will make.
Fisherman are particularly fond of embroidered work for their clothing, hats, and even their tackle bags because of the durability and distinctive nature of having their club logo stitched right onto the piece. Men, and women for that matter, who count themselves among the professional and avid recreational fishermen in the United States, will generally be wearing a cap, and other protective clothing. The elements that they face while fishing can be very harsh and will take a toll on them; and that goes double for the cloths that they wear. Saltwater specifically can wear out even the toughest boats on the water over the course of time so you can imagine what it will do to your clothing.
So when these men and women are in the market for garments that have their club logo or the name of their fishing business on them they generally opt for those that are embroidered rather than those with a patch or some other such variation of their logo, which has almost no chance of withstanding the elements. The president of one such group explains, “Over the years we have always had the clothing and hats that we wear bearing our club logo come from a company that does embroidery work. Our logo stands out and with few exceptions if any, it will outlast any other type of logo that we’ve looked into in the past.”
Embroidery gives your garment a much richer look and says something about the person who wears it. Now fishermen are probably the last group in the world that you would think about when it comes to looking for rich fashion, but keep in mind that they are no different than any other prideful club out there. Nothing says that your club is the top catch better than a hat or a tee shirt or sweatshirt with your club logo stitched on in bright, bold colors, especially when the other guy or gal is standing there with a faded ironed-on patch that can barely be made out and probably wasn’t all that exciting even when it was new.
