Natural Pet Food Retailer Kriser’s to Open Three Stores in Colorado

Kriser’s, a Chicago-based company specializing in all-natural pet food and supplies, announced today that it is expanding into Colorado with the first of three new Denver-area stores to open on April 21.

The store will open in Greenwood Village at the Belleview Square Shopping Center at 4910 S. Yosemite St .

The company, founded in 2006, has nine stores – seven in Chicago and two in Los Angeles.

Kriser’s plans to open two additional Denver-area stores this year, both to open in the early fall.

Brad Kriser, founder and chief executive of Kriser’s, said that opening in Colorado is like coming home.

“The opportunity to open our first Kriser’s store in Denver is a coming home party for me,” said Kriser. “I was introduced to all-natural pet food in 1999 while living in Boulder, and it was a discovery that ultimately helped shape my passion and vision for Kriser’s stores.”

Founded five years ago, Kriser’s is known as “the Whole Foods for pets,” by its loyal customers, said the company.

The company said it has experienced 40 percent annual growth since being founded.

According to the company, Kriser’s stocks a wide variety of leading all-natural pet foods, including wet, dry and raw items from brands like Canidae, Evo, California Natural, Orijen, Wellness, Fromm and Earthborn .

The stores also carry a comprehensive selection of pet supplements. Kriser’s offers grooming services and services such as blueberry facials and anesthesia-free teeth cleaning.
