Asian School of Business (ASB) opens admissions for PGDM courses

The Trivandrum-basedAsianSchoolof Business (ASB) has opened admissions for Post Graduate Diploma in Management course for 2012-14.

MAT (management aptitude test) or CAT 2012 (common admission test) scores are required for the two-year, full-time programme for 60 students.

This is a course approved by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and starts in August.

Performance-based scholarship:
ASB has instituted performance-based scholarship of Rs 50,000 for up to 10 % of those enrolled and Rs 25,000 for a further 10 %.

These are available for top CAT/MAT performance, and those from rural schools from the Northeastern States.

This will be based on academic performance during the first year. The scholarships are instituted by the George M. Thomas Foundation. These will be in addition to the existing scholarships for students with outstanding academic achievement.

Entrepreneurship cell:
ASB also offers its students a chance to join the ‘entrepreneurship cell’ at the end of the two-year programme.

Rolling admissions for the 2012-14 PGDM programme are continuing. The next round of group discussions and personal interviews will take place on May 7.

One team of students, adjudged to have a unique and innovative business idea, will be chosen to join this select club. ASB will facilitate the incubation of their concept under the guidance of experienced consultants.
