Magic Mountain Tatsu review.

This is a short review for the Tatsu ride at Magic mountain. If you are afraid of heights, you should consider another ride. This one is not for the faint of heart. In fact the ride mentions that if you have a heart condition you should not ride this ride!
I believe them!
This ride had my heart about to jump out of its chest. I had not been to Magic Mountain since 03 and I had not seen this ride yet. It did not let me down.
For the average roller coaster enthusiast that is used to a sit down ride, this one will freak you right out. You start in a sitting position until you are strapped in. The straps go over your shoulders and your feet are also strapped in. That should give you the first clue that this ride is going to be extreme.
As the ride begins the first step is to position the seats forward like you are in a flying position. This means that all of your weight is going with gravity and you are completely trusting in the ability of the ride to hold you in place. As the ride starts clicking up the climb you are completely suspended by gravity and watching the elevation rises higher and higher your palms will start sweating.
If the climb up to the top of the coaster wasn’t enough to get your heart pumping, now comes the drop! My first ride I was unable to let go of the handles because I was really freaked out about laying in a forward position. It wasn’t until the 2nd ride that I was able to let go fully and feel like I was really flying.
The first drop just might take your breath away as you zoom through an amazing track of turns and twists, making it you just about crap your pants. I personally loved this ride more than any other at the park. As you zoom through a corkscrew turn or two your heart will be pounding and you will be wondering if this was a good idea to come on this ride or not.
The best part in my opinion comes next. The forward loop. This is a loop unlike any other that you have done before on a roller coaster. This is not your grandma’s Coney Island roller coaster ride, this is the real deal. Be prepared as the coaster hangs you belly down throughout the ride for the most amazing loop that you have ever been down.
This loop shoots you like superman diving down to the ground. The gforce is quite strong and as your about ? way through the loop your heart will be pressed into your chest a bit. If you are screaming you will probably not notice this but if not you might feel some pressure there.
As you are at the bottom of the loop and starting to come back up you have never felt a sensation like this before unless you are some sort of fighter pilot.
The loop is what it was all about for me. What an exhilaration to feel that kind of rush. I had to ride it 4 times in a row!
