Delhi University admission: Online fee payment relief outstation aspirants

Much to the relief of outstation aspirants, the payment gateway for online registration is finally ready. Thursday onwards, aspirants can complete their application process completely online and pay using credit or debit card on the Delhi University website.

In the first three days of the admission process, the online payment facility was not available due to which the majority of the outstation students could not submit their forms online.

Till Thursday evening, nearly 53,000 aspirants have registered online. Out of them, 220 have made online payments while 700 demand drafts have been received by DU.

Offline forms are still in demand and by the end of Day 4, more than 82,000 forms were sold across 12 branches of post offices and 10 colleges and centres of DU in the city. However, the rush dwindled further with the colleges selling a little over 7,000 centralized admission forms, while the total sell by the post offices was 5,500.

Delhi University had earlier asked applicants to post a demand draft after filling up the form online or wait for the payment gateway to be ready. “The payment gateway is active and aspirants can now make their payments and complete the application process by submitting the online forms,” said the dean of students’ welfare, J M Khurana. The Delhi University (DU) administration says that since the activation of the payment gateway, 220 aspirants have submitted their forms after making the payments.
