Research Well Before Enrolling In Engineering College

Imagine being stranded on a ship at sea without fresh water, there is “water, water everywhere but not a drop to drink”. Similarly, the proliferation of “education industry” is becoming a large number of graduates, but few are employable.

The universities that offer professional degrees have grown like weeds. Weeds grow quickly and add to the vegetation. They look good. However, like weeds inhibit the growth of crops, many of these private professional colleges have kept a solid educational foundation for the youth of India.

Suppose say about 1.8 lakh engineering and MCA students complete their education. Not even a small fraction of them have any job. However, if the same person who had done a BA or B.Com would not have a problem in with either the work of a pharmaceutical sales or customer service work at retail. There are many B.Tech college in Delhi NCR where you can take admission and after completing your degree after a couple of years later, you can always do an MBA or MCA and change your career and be a productive and responsible member of society.

During the last decade, with the growth in engineering positions from 4,000 to about 2 thousand rupees – each student can get a seat in Engineering. The student and his family feels very good – as they did for those who graduated last year. I’m doing Engineering or my son will be an engineer. A father might have thought – the life of my son will be ‘resolved’. Some may even say my son/daughter have enrolled in A college of MCA in Delhi. Well, that was until last year!

The quality of education and talent levels are so low supported by 98% of all these engineering students who may be sentenced to a life of misery. Their career prospects or probability of a well-paid professional work no better than someone doing a degree Unani or Ayurvedic Medicine of some recognized institute.

Today, their chances of employment of children are a question mark. However, in order to get the grades that has borrowed hundreds of thousands of rupees. The possibility that children repayment of loans with a well paid job, are not very promising. Not this year, but for a long time to come. With hundreds of thousands of students from low quality to be admitted to professional courses, there is the possibility that the current education policy has destroyed the future of a generation that could have been better to ITI / Polytechnic BA degree or a standard, BA, B.
