Looking Into Enzymes for Intestinal Health

How many of us do ever think of our intestinal health and how could enzymes influence it positively or negatively. It obviously is the last thing that one would care about after a whole busy day and the same regular stressing lifestyle. This is until the issue would demand serious attention crippling you as a whole. Common sense thus says that we should bother about enzymes before it actually seeks its rightful attention. There is nothing much that one really has to do, but it should be kept in mind that it was the presence of the vital enzymes that made our grandfathers so strong and lifelong and healthy while we tend to suffer in our teens!

The problem of the present generation when it comes to taste for food is detrimental to healthy metabolism. Alcohol, coffee, artificial carbohydrates and sugar in fact lowers the level of enzyme secretion. We depend more on fast food and never indulge in a hearty long meal. The food that looks good to be swallowed and rushed to office or school is the most preferred one. The saliva present in our mouth helps digest food such that it is ready for the intestine to further process it but how many time so we chew and make sure that the saliva gets to work?

The production of the important enzymes in our body declines with age, illness, pregnancy and several other conditions. Most of the times older people suffer from being full even after hours they had taken their meal. The reason may be formation of gas, diarrhea, constipation and low protein tolerance. There are enough proteins present in the food too but cooking in the modern ways destroys the element. So whatever you eat is actually eating what is already waste and this obviously will not suit the body demands. While the cooked food waits in the stomach for the enzymes, harmful bacteria and other parasites develop in the food and causes premature ageing, illness and other diseases. Doctors today are frequently advising patients to include natural digestive enzymes in their diet. It’s really an advantage that we are able to get these enzymes – thanks to the huge researches – and this can seriously change your life for the better.

When the food moves into the intestine, it is neutralized by the secretions from the pancreas and liver. If this is not done, as in case of people with damaged liver (out of age, alcohol consumption, illness and other factors) ulcers and a millions of other problems could occur. Thus one needs to provide with the natural process.

Anther advice would be to include a sufficient amount of raw food in your diet. Nutritionists prefer it to be between 50% and 70% of the total consumption. This would be an ideal situation but how often could one resist the delicious cooked food! While we know that fast food and the roasted lamb is harmful, at the same time it is delicious enough to sacrifice. Enzymes help in this case! So continue with your preferred lifestyle with a bit of discipline and a bit of regularity in enzyme intake.
