The Bolshoi Theatre also provides a respite from the outside and tourists can enjoy a fantastic show here.
- St. Petersburg – Very metropolitan and populace St. Petersburg has a lot to offer during the holiday season. Outside of the museums tourists can take a stroll through the Gatchina Palace and Park. It is a walking park with the palace as the centerpiece, giving all tourists a glimpse into the history of St. Petersburg. Divo Ostrov is also fun, especially for the kids. This amusement park is full of rides and treats that is sure to keep people of all ages satisfied.
- Sochi – It’s not as well known as Moscow and St. Petersburg but there is a lot to do here. The Winter Theatre, aptly named, is one of the best in all of Russia. It has a number of performances each year, especially classics such as The Nutcracker. It is no wonder thousands of people brace the halls of this theatre every year. Krasnaya Polyana is a great place to be for the snowboarder and ski enthusiast. It offers a great panoramic view of the West Caucasus Mountains.
- Volgograd – This is an amazing place to go shopping. With several unique shops and restaurants there are plenty of things that tourists can shop for. It is a smaller city, but packed with shops. Get Russian crafts or simply just get something you need on your vacation. When done enjoy the vibrant nightlife in Volgograd, a life that takes you beyond normalcy.
