Lucid Dreams – Experience Every Fantasy!

Something which may amaze you to learn is that it is possible to be aware that you are dreaming even while in the middle of the experience and even begin to control the course of your dream! Such dreams are called lucid dreams and they allow you to sit in the director’s chair and let you decide what will happen.

Lucid dreaming offers you the opportunity to be in the director’s chair for what is essentially your own movie. Anything you’ve ever wanted to see is possible when lucid dreaming. The only limit is your own creativity.

Lucid dreams are noticeably different than the dreams you’re used to having while you sleep; these regular dreams are guided by their own sort of logic and drift along without your input. By contrast, lucid dreams are under your control and seem real, regardless of how far out the events may be.

You can usually tell a lucid dream apart from other dreams through this technique; try reading something in your dream. If the words keep changing or do not form intelligible language, then you’re having a regular dream. If you can read and even dictate the contents of your reading material, then you are lucid dreaming.

When youre lucid dreaming, anything you imagine is possible. You can live out any fantasy you have, meet anyone you want and go anywhere.

Another thing which differentiates a lucid dream from ordinary ones is that if you want to change the outcome of an event in your dream, all you have to do is to think about it and it will happen! A lot of people find that lucid dreaming is beneficial to them in that they can think through things which have happened in their lives and think about the other ways the situation could have gone. This can help you come to terms with tragedy and misfortune.

Anyone can learn to have lucid dreams. Your body needs to rest of course so that you can awake refreshed and energetic enough to take on the tasks of the day; but while your body is at rest, your mind can stay partially active and engage in lucid dreaming.

You’ll need to practice lucid dreaming before you’re able to do it at will. This can take some time, so keep practicing and be patient; these dreams will come to you with time.

The best way to begin is by keeping a dream journal. Write down everything you can remember from your dreams as soon as you awake. Keep a pad and pen within arm’s length of your bed so that you can write down every detail quickly. You may not remember everything every time – be patient. You will get better at this with time and training your mind to remember your dreams and recognize when it is dreaming will help you to start having lucid dreams.

In fact, writers have been known to keep records of their lucid dreams to help them plan out characters and plots for their stories and novels. Lucid dreaming is a good way to exercise your creativity and try some new ideas.

When you get into the habit of remembering your dreams, you’ll be able to return to your dreams when you go back to sleep and start controlling their course.

The last hour or two before the time when you normally awake are the best for lucid dreaming. When you awake a little early and go back to bed, you may feel like you have just been laying in bed thinking when your alarm finally goes off; however, you have actually been lucid dreaming!

Dream recall is the first step in learning to have lucid dreams. Meditation and relaxation techniques can also help you to get into the right state to have dreams which you control. Self hypnosis helps a lot of people to speed up the process by training them to remember their dreams.

There is also a new audio technology which can help you to prepare: binaural beats. These are frequencies which help the hemispheres of your brain synchronize their brainwaves, putting you into the state of mind in which lucid dreaming comes naturally.
