The Talented Pat Lawrence Supplies Many Excellent Knowledge
‘Pat’ Adsit Burke along with Daniel ‘Lawrence’ Burke is the true definition of the saying ‘when two become one’. Although these two are the ones behind the writing of two great novels they cannot as individuals take the credit fro it. This is because the novels are written under the name Pat Lawrence which they derived from their own names, and thus to the world Pat Lawrence is one yet in real life they are two.
Their collaboration started in 2007, and it was not in writing but in acting. They were selected to perform as a couple George and Charlotte in a comedy play by Ken Ludwig called ‘”Moon over Buffalo”. It is was during a kissing scene that their collaboration was sealed and today they are happily married and are business partners as well.
The business partnership saw the coming into being of Murder-By-Design. Which the two jointly own and run. They decided to start writing scripts centered around the murder mystery genre as that is what they both enjoyed. Murder-By-Design has to date wrote about six of these types of scripts.
They decided to go back on stage as acting was what had brought them together. They then penned down a two man show based mainly of real incidences they had faced in their lives. The show which they called Squirrels in the Attic was an instant hit, and is still being performed in parts of Midwestern at selected venues.
In 2011 the husband and wife combination decided to delve into foreign territory to grow their company by writing their own book. They decided instead of writing separately they would co write and this proved to be the best decision they have made. Most people would think it would have been a challenge but they came yup with a way to be able to incorporate one another’s ideas and come up with a theme, plot, scenes and characters that are captivating.
Jarred into Being their first book is about how different individuals’ lives are connected somehow whether they may like it or not. It is about how the main character fights to remain independent and keep herself from being engulfed by others and situations she finds herself in. Jarred Into Being did very well and has received great reviews by other authors who have been in the field for a long time.
The success of Jarred Into Being as well as the demand by the readers for more led the couple into writing their second book. An Illegal president must be the couple and company’s best work so far from this team. It received an over whelming response and the reviews are even better that for their first book. It was captivating and had an element of controversy and mystery which is what people who like reading these kinds of books are after.
Pat Lawrence is proving to be the synergy that Pat and Lawrence individually needed to be the success they are today.
