Professor Rob Moir

Professor Moir is an all round academic, spiritual, social and think-tank giant as a professor of economics at the University of Brunswick who holds many positions there. Professor was elected to the university Senate until the year 2009, became a Chapel Warden and Chair of the Mission and Outreach Committee in The All Saints’ Cathedral, Member of the Southern New Brunswick Woodlot Cooperative, served on the Boards of the Clifton Royal Recreation Council and Peninsular Heritage Inc., and President of the Atlantic Canada Economics Association. Professor Rob Moir plunged into politics unexpectedly and he had a convincing conviction that he was politically able to straighten issues that were affecting the around him. He contested from the Royal NDP party. He was unhappy with the budget that had been ready. A budget that was not focusing on rewarding industrious people.
The intellectual professor Rob Moir was against the budget because it was not able to make life affordable, train doctors and provide housing. He was opposed to the budget because it was not having the structures to fight poverty as professor Moir complaints that there is an increase in tax which favors the rich and suppresses the average Canadian family. He affirms that many service provisions for ordinary Canadians are no longer available and if a few exist then their state is weakening. He says the saving plan in the budget is milking poor and middle class people their money as the wealthy enjoy. He also questions the weight given to higher education that is college and university education. Professor Moir notes that the budget does not solve the problem so that affordable education is achieved; unfortunately, the budget continues to increase scholarship funding which will not solve the education crisis. Professor Rob Moir is an educationist that is why he well placed to offer a substantial solution for the educational crisis. This creates a longing quest for politics so as to be in a position to influence beneficial policies for the ordinary Canadians. He is experienced after serving in very many organizations which he is even serving while joining politics.
Professor Moir fights hard to conserve and save the environment but for many people in the authority or the politicians are less concerned that is why professor is eager and enthusiastic to join politics to be in a position to bring change to make life better for people. He understands economics better than many current politicians and he is able to turn round the economy. With is experience and being an economist he knows how to implement policies which are shelved after they have been drafted. Professor Moir also plays an environmentalist by his positive criticism on the current government’s environment policy. He also fights for the rights of framers right from the dairy farmers to the fishermen.
