Singing Higher and Louder

A lot of singers pride their selves on their singing technique, beautiful voice and the ability to sing at various pitches and notes. How to sing higher and louder is the question frequently asked by many newly singers who do not yet grasped the techniques of vocal range and pitch. It is also necessary to learn controlling the speed in which you let your breath out. You need to increase your air speed for higher notes and decrease your speed for lower notes. Every frequency needs particular air speed to produce the best tone. A lot of singers push much air quickly when singing in an effort to make the note louder. But this only adds tension and stress to the tone. You can use your ears to tell you when the right balance is obtained. The tone should be pure and clear before you add stylistic nuances.

Dynamics is the art of lowering and raising your voice’s volume to add expression and texture to the sound. This is called color. You can notice that in the popular styles, singers sing loud with high notes and soft with low notes.

The exercise such as singing a note at its lower point and raising your voice slowly until reaches to the highest point is a good exercise that can help you to make sing louder. Hold there as long as you can before you sing the note back down to the lowest point. This exercise can help you sing with increased volume and improved dynamics.
