Hemel Hempstead is located in the South Eastern part of England in Hertfordshire. It is about 24 miles away from London. The population of this town is around 89000, and is blessed with oceanic climate similar to the rest of England.
Although Hemel Hempstead got a facelift after the World War II, it had been in existence since the 8th century. King Henry VIII conferred the town charter to it in 1539. There are differing opinions on how this town derived its name.
One of the noted features of this town is its ‘Magic Roundabout’, a central roundabout, where six routes meet. Also, Hemel Hempstead owns the privilege of having the first multi leveled car parking in England. This parking was built at the Marlowes shopping, in the hillside, way back in 1960.
