Jason Wu a famous fashion designer, he was well known around the world after his design for the first Lady Michelle. Some people would say that he was lucky to be chosen by the first Lady. But most of us know it was not luck bring him to the fashion front.
Jason Wu was born in Taiwan and moved to Vancouver with his mother when he was nine. In Connecticut, he learned how to sew by designing and sewing for dolls, and later he went on to study sculpture in Tokyo. He launched his ready-to-wear line of clothes with the earnings that he earned by doll design for years. His first full collection debuted in 2006. In 2008, he designed dress for the first lady Michelle which was a white, one-shouldered, silk-chiffon and Swarovski-crystal gown and made him world widely known one night. But before that happened, he had won the Fashion Group International’s Rising Star award and he was nominated for the Vogue Fashion Fund award in 2008.
He was born to be a designer and he did everything he needed to achieve his dream. He prepared himself to be a brilliant designer. Jason Wu’s designs have clean, classic lines and incorporate bright colors and prints without being flashy. The feeling you get is that his piece is modern and wearable while noteworthy.
In the New York Fashion Week, he released his designs for the 2011 spring. His clothing and accessories became a special view. He is a new talent in the fashion designs and most people do not know him, if you see his works, you would love him. In an interview, he said his aim of being a designer is to make the ones who wear his clothes fabulous while revealing their style and taste completely. He wants to make his designs still in trend after several years and they are still classic and modern. After his own company set up, his fresh classic works attracted much attention from the design circle.
