Perfume Decants As weaponry of Mass Attraction

One of the main goals of people wearing perfumes is to attract other persons, but the story of scent as a means of attraction goes way back into the past, and actually predates humankind by millions of years. More precisely, bees have been able to identify and track down strong scents, fact that explains why flowers had to develop fragrant compounds: to make sure that pollination takes place. In our times, men, women and even teenagers, use perfumes in order to attract the attention of the ones surrounding them. If they decide to go for more expensive perfumes, it is often wiser to rely on perfume decants for assuring a great enough variety in the personal fragrance collection.

Perfumes as means of attraction can also be compared to pheromones. These are chemical compounds used by insects, vertebrates and plants for activating a social reaction. As human pheromones cannot be perceived consciously, people turned their attention to perfumes. While certain perfumes may be characterized as sensual, it is the attitude of the one wearing them that ultimately influences the attraction of the lack of it. Still, after testing several perfumedecants or samples, one will notice that certain fragrances influence the human interaction, not necessarily in a sexual way.

Scents can also be used for creating a good impression at work, and this may be considered a form of attraction, too. However, in order to choose a proper work scent, one may have to through many perfume samples and decants. The basic rule when selecting a fragrance for such an environment is to make sure it does not offend people. Heavy perfumes containing such notes as incense or agar wood may not represent the wisest choice. Instead, people should focus on lighter olfactory notes, flowery, aquatic or fruity. Ideally, the best perfumes for work should have great longevity, so they last throughout the entire day, but moderate projection, so they do not disturb the other coworkers.

After analyzing perfume decants, one may notice a contradiction between designer and niche perfumes. Specifically, the designer perfumes which are designed for mass appeal often attract more compliments than the more expensive niche perfumes which are regarded as a form of art by many. This happens despite the fact that niche perfumes contain great concentrations of ingredients of a higher quality. Even though the person who wears a niche fragrance may appreciate it more, the people surrounding him or her may not find this as attractive as a designer fragrance.
