The Atheists Believe in Miracles Also

It is extremely common for atheists to go around accusing Theists of being irrational in their faith of God and God’s miracles. What atheists fail to become conscious of is that they surely hold their own beliefs and put their faith in miracles also. We will examine a few of these miracles and show the hypocrisy of atheists and their claim to purely trust in what they can affirm through science or what they are able to touch or see. In addition, when we demonstrate the faith that atheists hold we will also put it up against the beliefs held by Christians and see which is really more reasonable.

The first and most apparent miracle that any atheist must have faith in is the famous “Big Bang Theory.” The only reason such a belief exists is because every person realizes that our universe is not ageless and had a definite beginning. In an universe ordered by cause and effect there must have been an initial first cause. You can not have an eternal regression of effects and causes. For this reason Christians have no difficulty admitting that they have faith in an eternal God who has continually existed who created the universe in the beginning. That is to say that for the theist it is God who is the “first cause.”

For the atheist they are forced to maintain that in the beginning everything sprang forth from nothing. Everything we understand currently tells us that the concept of everything coming from nothing is without question absurd. It is as a result of this that we come to our first “atheistic miracle.” Atheists assume or suppose that everything came from nothing. Now all you have to do is ask yourself which of these two beliefs is more believable and logical. Does it make more sense that an eternal God created the universe or that the universe came from nothing?

The second major miracle that atheists must believe in is the miracle of life resulting from non-life. Christians will say that the creation and source of life is the eternal and self-existent God. Atheists will say that living beings came from non-living material. This is a further supposition that we know to be decisively beyond the bounds of possibility. For example, the Law of Biogenesis says that life can only come from other life. Again we are given another miracle that the atheists believe in. All you need to do is ask yourself which is more compelling: The living God creating life or the concept that life comes from non-living matter.

These are just a few examples of the utter hypocrisy on display by atheists who blame Christians of being absurd and extreme. They are also believing in concepts and theories which have not and can not be proved by humankind. No one was there at the beginning of the universe or when life first began. Therefore, to state that a scientific hypothesis as fact is unreal. Science itself requires that things must be tested, repeated and observed so as to be proven. We can neither test, repeat or observe the origin of life or the origin of the universe. As a result we are left with making the choice as to which theory or explanation is more reasonable.
