A bat should be purchased for the current season and not be intended to be used more than one season. There are many things that a child can grow into, but a bat should not be one of them.     With the new BBCOR rules the metal/alloy bats are no longer insanely superior. They’ve been a part of the game for many, many years and will continue to be so.
