Performing Far Too Much in Developing your muscles is a Big Mistake
It is just so tempting… no person could blame you for it. Once you start training, discover you like this, and get boundless commitment and thirst for advancement, it’s so attractive to carry out more than you have been prescribed for your exercise routine. In the end, it’s often those who work in life who exceed – putting in the extra work – that yield the greatest results for themselves, is it not. It would, then, seem logical when you maybe did more reps, more sets, or even more sessions inside your bodybuilding training that you will get quicker results. Unfortunately, it doesn’t quite work this way.
When you train, the muscles require time and energy to restore to merely return level as to the they were before you decide to trained strength wise, before they are able to overcompensate (grow). Usually this process takes a full 72 hours and that’s why most training plans are done in a way which minimizes retraining exactly the same muscles again within that time.
Picking out a well-planned training routine is just one way to avoid overtraining. You might also need the problem to be overenthusiastic. You complete your reps or sets, and perhaps wish to accomplish more. Or, you choose beforehand you’re going to do more.
A golden rule would be to avoid this is to let the reps and sets dictate the weight, that way you are not physically able to do more, even if you wanted to. Keeping your training sessions under an hour or so also limits you skill, and is actually recommended due to destructive hormones that are released after training with weights for more than an hour or so.
Enthusiasm is nice, however particular rep and hang schemes are devised to provide some types of results. Higher reps give more muscle growth (7-12) minimizing reps (1-5) are better for strength gains without significant muscle growth.
What you need to do is decide what you need from your training, select a plan that may get you to your goals, and stay with it. Like I’ve said, if you still seem like that you can do way more, you’re training too light. But, don’t go crazy. The correct answer is easy to think you can preserve decreasing the weight and churning out set after set, but like I’ve said, certain rep and set schemes are created to be optimal for muscle growth and strength. Doing a much more can be quite counterproductive. The idea would be to coax your muscles into getting stronger/bigger or both, not force them. The harder you force parts of your muscles, the greater stubborn they become as well as your progress can easily become stale.
If you feel as if you aren’t moving forward inside your training – despite adequate rest, nutrition and frequent exercise changes – then before you try doing more reps or sets, try doing less. Quite often, you will find your muscles tend to be more receptive to the softly-softly approach than to brute force.
